"The pilot and copilot of that Navy Reserve S2C survived a complete loop over
the Cape when the controls failed pulling out from a rocket run. It was the
radar operator that was lost. On the pilots orders he attempted to bail out but
he was too low and the chute failed to deploy.
 The bottom of the loop was sea level about 200 yards off the range. The pilots
were picked up from the still floating plane by a local fisherman. "
